What are Dental Crowns?

Dental crowns prior to placementDental crowns are restorations that fit completely over the top of a damaged tooth to replace lost dental structure and renew full function. One or more replacement teeth are fused to a dental crown on each side. The dental crowns are then attached to healthy teeth on either side of the lost tooth. Once in place, your crown supported fixed bridge will look and function just like your natural, healthy smile, leaving you looking and feeling your very best.

How are Restorations Placed?

Then, we take an impression of the prepared teeth that will be used by the lab to create your flawless crown or bridge. Before you leave the office, we place a temporary restoration to protect the prepared tooth or teeth. When we receive the restoration from our lab, you’ll return to the office to exchange your temporary for a custom dental crown or fixed bridge.
